Connexia and ActionAid for “POSSIBLE CHANGE”

15th April 2020 – Independent marketing and communication agency Connexia  is giving a creative boost to ActionAid Italia‘s new press and digital campaign. The non-governmental organization works with 15 million people in more than 45 countries worldwide to fight poverty and injustice, its latest campaign describes “the world to come”.

ActionAid’s view of the horizon is revealed in a campaign designed to tell the story of our foreseeable future through the lens of Covid-19: a lucid reflection on how the virus has changed us and – more importantly – how it will change humanity forever. A change we have suffered and endured, of course, but from which positive suggestions can also be made.

No stranger to unconventional ways of communicating, ActionAid has chosen to promote the rediscovery of some of its founding values – humanity, solidarity, community – at a time when they are becoming increasingly relevant, and with ever more tangible significance.

Under the Creative Direction of Riccardo Catagnano and the brand management of Davide Corti, ActionAid’s campaign, on air and online over the Easter weekend, has been featured in the leading national newspapers (Corriere della sera, Repubblica, L’espresso, Internazionale), the most popular social media platforms (FB + IG + YT) and the official brand properties of the non-profit organization.

Connexia tracks company donations for the Covid-19 emergency with a data app

25 March 2020 – SOLIDARITY. A “full” and precious word. There are no longer any solidarity initiatives in our country to support the Civil Protection, individual hospitals, health workers, and all those categories of workers and emergency responders who are fighting on the front line against Covid-19 every single day.

With its professionals, the communication agency Connexia has decided to make its own contribution by developing a data application to monitor all companies actively involved in the fight against the pandemic, mapping the cash and material donations made by individual companies and graphically representing them in the form of aggregated data.

This “generosity map” will give face and voice to the many companies that are contributing to the wave of solidarity, hour after hour. But that’s not all. It also represents an opportunity to launch an appeal to the civic community so that everyone can get involved, helping to signal new donations.

“As a company, and as citizens, we can’t just stand still – we don’t know how. This initiative is our way of contributing and giving back to the community, providing a cross-section of those who are donating in the business world. – commented Paolo d’Ammassa, CEO and Founding Partner of Connexia – The corporate purpose cannot and must not be reduced to mere statements: it must be consistent and tell a story of shared values. Companies’ strategies and actions have an impact on the communities in which they operate. At Connexia, our internal commitment to concrete action is very high, which is a source of real pride for us. All the actions that have taken us into the field in recent weeks – participation in the Digital Solidarity initiative by Minister for Innovation Paola Pisano, the two pro bono campaigns for as many fundraisers promoted by non-profit organisations that find themselves on the front line at the moment, the choice to gift knowledge to nurture and spread digital culture – come from below: our management has limited itself to sharing and ratifying them, but it is our people who are the tireless promoters of concrete actions to support the civic community”.

The initiative focusses on the world of businesses. The data app does not monitor the fundraising promoted by institutions, organisations, non-profit bodies, or private bodies.

Cheeky Enza of Buondì Motta returns to the TV

03 March 2020 – Anyone who thought that Enza, Artificial Deficiency, had stopped irritating us all will have to think again: until 21 March on TV and online, it will be possible to discover the brand new episodes of the Buondì Motta campaign, the brainchild of the marketing and communication agency, Connexia.

Enza, the only voice assistant who doesn’t simplify life (on the contrary!) is back to torment the family in the commercial spot with her question “How can breakfast be yummy and light at the same time?”  This time, the “allies” to help Artificial Deficiency take revenge will include a food processor, floor-cleaning robot and drone: home automation will be there to aid Enza with her vain attempts to terrorise the family!

Yet our reply to Enza’s question is quite simple: Buondì is the yummy yet light breakfast, and “her” family, that eat it every morning, knows it well!

The ironic and impertinent tone that has always characterised this Buondì Motta spot is now back, with the new characters of this amplified campaign, the brainchild of Connexia and produced by Mercurio Cinematografica, planned by PHD Media and broadcast on the main TV networks and online until 21 March.

The influencer marketing campaign developed by Noesis Group also continues and involves a group of web influencers who give their very own vision of how a “yummy yet light breakfast” should be. Following the huge success obtained with the first campaign phase, involving over 30 influencers who generated hundreds of contents, an effective reach of over 470,000 users and more than 670,000 views of IG Stories, new engaging contents will be created in March.

Enza will also be back to torment us on the Facebook, Instagram and YouTube pages of Buondì Motta, where users will be able to find out about her latest attempts at “revenge” . From the initial idea to production, the social campaign has been managed by Connexia Media House and planned by PHD Media.

Buondì Motta ─ the only breakfast that can stand up to… Artificial Deficiency! ─ awaits everyone on TV and on the shelves!

For Valentine’s Day? Celebrate with the Solometro!

13 February 2020 – The independent marketing and communication agency Connexia loves to drive change – rather than face it passively.

And, in a world like that of Communication, where everything is constantly in flux, it’s worth keeping up with the times and investigating the only thing that is – seemingly – unchangeable: the client-agency engagement process.

Channels, creativity, audiences, agency models, media consumption: everything has been turned upside down in the digital era. New and different ways of marketing and communicating are rapidly emerging and establishing themselves: if they want to remain relevant, brands must – and have had to – deal with these.

And yet there is one thing – just one – that hasn’t changed a bit: the client-agency relationship, which has remained constant since the days of Mad Men. Especially if we consider the dynamics of engagement.

Can you really stand still?

“We have always remained mindful of the subject of tenders”,  comments Paolo d’Ammassa, CEO & Founding Partner of Connexia. “Often, however, there is still a lack of awareness and transparency regarding their use.”
Because of this, for Valentine’s Day, we decided to present
Solometro to brands and agencies, as a gift that will make them smile but also reflect.”

Responding to ten questions, brands can check how the pitch they have made or will be making will be perceived by agencies. In turn, agencies receive an indication of the level of spuriousness of the tenders that have been submitted.

“The Solometro encapsulates 20 years of direct experience of love or hate for the concept of tenders“, d’Ammassa continues. “The tool was designed with the aim of identifying true love between clients and agencies, in the shortest time possible, that will last over time, without turning into a brief fling.”

A provocative game that has a serious and important aim: are we still sure that even after 70 years of honoured service, the tender is still the most effective tool for client-agency engagement?

The Solometro is a playful tool that Connexia is offering the market – a cue that should make people stop and consider new ways of engagement and interaction, such as agile workshops for example, to make the client-agency relationship more effective and enduring over time.”

Connexia presents its repositioning and rebranding strategy. Building on a 38% revenue increase in 2019, further double-digit growth is predicted for 2020.

05 February 2020 – The independent marketing and communication agency Connexia places a great deal of importance on growth and change. It has carved out its own path to success by creating a new approach to customer relations, founded on collaboration and transparency.

The story of Connexia really began when it took control of its repositioning strategy and corporate identity: over the last five years, the agency has embraced change to create a whole new modelintegrating data, creativity, media and technology—backed by increases in business and strategic operations.

Creativity in Love with Data and Technology, the company motto, perfectly encapsulates Connexia’s new identity. This rebranding also extended as far as the logo, which now includes a symbol made up of four graphic elements, each representing one of the agency’s cornerstones: data (the triangle), creativity (the circle), media (the arrow), and passion (the heart). The entire design is surrounded by a square, which symbolises the technology that powers Connexia.

“Connexia is a new type of agency, combining data, creativity, media and technology with love and passion. Our goal is to become an extension of our customers’ marketing and communications departments, to achieve total transparency, and to build a unique team, committed to pursuing our shared objectives.

We want to subvert the traditional agency model to become something totally different, combining the beauty of creative agencies with the strength of consulting firms”, explained Paolo d’Ammassa, CEO & Founding Partner of Connexia, “None of this would be possible without a very special group of people. We are constantly investing in talent and new professional skills, cultivating teamwork and consistent excellence, because we believe that people make the real difference.”

Co-creation, collaboration, innovation, and agile thinking. At Connexia, there are no hard lines between departments: the different professionals can all grow and work together. By evolving as a team, each individual is able to improve and learn from their mistakes.

A series of forward-thinking strategic choices—the introduction of the Innovation Team; the creation of Connexia Media House to internalise video production; the inauguration of the Corporate Division, dedicated to media relations; the acquisition of the Ragooo experience agency; and the new drive to develop a proprietary suite of products for data analysis (Audience Tracker, SEO Defender, Outcomes)—have defined Connexia’s growth in recent years.

“Connexia’s choice to become an equal partner in its customers’ success has yielded impressive results,” stated Marina Salamon, majority shareholder and President of Connexia, “2019 came to a close with a 38% growth in revenue, thanks largely to the company’s ability to formulate creative strategies that are guided and supported by data analysis, a passion for innovative technology, and a love for unconventional creative decisions.”
